Reclaim space with confidence

Find duplicate photos
Compare file content, not only filenames.

Duplicate filenames do not always mean duplicate files, and renamed files can still be identical. FlakaCloud’s analyser compares exact file content to find genuine copies.

Why filenames are not enough

Two pictures can share a name but contain different edits, sizes or metadata. Likewise, an identical copy may have been renamed. Exact duplicate analysis uses file content to avoid guessing.

  • Same name can mean different content
  • Different name can still mean an exact copy
  • Edited or recompressed images are not exact duplicates
02

Analyse one folder or compare two

Select the same folder on both sides to search inside it, or select two different folders to find exact copies across them. Results group matching files and show a representative thumbnail.

  • Review every result group
  • One original is always retained
  • Check the displayed removable-copy count
03

Remove only confirmed copies

Deletion is permanent when the analyser states that it is permanent. Check the thumbnail, type, file count and size before confirming removal.

  • Do not close during an active foreground operation
  • Keep another backup of irreplaceable files
  • Remember that visually similar files may not be exact copies

Good to know

Questions, answered

Does the analyser match files only by name?+

No. It checks exact file content, so renamed identical files can still match.

Why are two pictures that look the same not detected?+

One may have different dimensions, compression, metadata or edits, which produces different file content.

Will one copy be kept?+

The analyser results are designed to retain one original while identifying removable extra copies.
